Visual identity and logo design for companies in Riyadh — colour and type system, stationery and a complete brand guide by Dawaer.
We have built visual identities for organisations in Riyadh — law firms, accounting practices, contractors, manufacturers and new ventures: the mark in Arabic and Latin, the colour and type system, the stationery, and the guide that governs their use.
Ownership passes to the company in full on delivery, in open and vector files, so any printer or supplier can produce it afterwards.
Frequently asked questions
What is the difference between a logo and a visual identity?
A logo is a single mark; a visual identity is the system that governs how a company appears everywhere: the mark and its variants, the colour system, the Arabic and Latin typefaces, the treatment of images, and the official stationery. A logo alone makes a company recognisable on a façade; the system makes it recognisable on a document, an account, an advertisement and a sign at once.
What does the identity you deliver include?
The mark in all its forms — horizontal, vertical, icon and single-colour, in Arabic and Latin — the colour system with its print and screen values, the chosen typefaces, the stationery from letterhead and card to envelope and stamp, templates for presentations and posts, and the guide that governs their use. All of it in open and vector files.
How long does an identity take?
One week: it begins with reading the market and setting where the company stands in it, then the logo routes and the choice between them, then building the visual system, its applications and the guide.
How many concepts and revisions?
Three routes that differ in idea rather than three versions of one, shown applied — on a façade, a card, a document — instead of floating on white. The company picks one route, and it takes two to three rounds of revision to sign-off.
Do we get the open files and the rights to the mark?
Yes. Ownership of the approved identity passes to the company in full on delivery, in open and vector files — AI, EPS, SVG and PDF — alongside PNG and JPG for daily use. We keep no right that limits its use, and no element of it is resold to anyone else.
Do you register the trademark?
Registration is a legal filing the company makes in its own name — through the Saudi Authority for Intellectual Property in Saudi Arabia — and we prepare what it requires: the mark at the size and resolution asked for, a single-colour version, and both the Arabic and Latin forms. We also design away from what is usually refused: closeness to an existing mark, or use of a protected symbol.
Does the mark work in Arabic and English together?
We design both together rather than one and then its translation, because a mark drawn in Latin letters and later set in Arabic comes out unbalanced. The two share the symbol, the colours and the visual weight, and each stands in its own market without the other reading as a secondary version.
How do I choose a company to design a visual identity?
Look past the logo. Ask to see a whole identity in use — letterhead, card, signage, a post, a deck — rather than a mark presented alone on white, because a logo that looks fine in a presentation can fall apart on a shopfront or an official stamp. Ask specifically about the Arabic: was the lettering drawn, or set in an off-the-shelf typeface? Ask what you own at handover — open vector files and a usage guide, not only PNGs. And check they have worked in your sector: a law firm's identity is built on gravity, a factory's on legibility at distance.
