Corporate Identity · designed by Dawaer, 2025. A visual identity for Rusukh Al-Ma'arif Educational Co., its name in Diwani calligraphy built as dimensional letters on the building.
The name is written in Diwani — the flowing, interlocking script used in Ottoman chancery decrees. Choosing it for an education company is not ornament: Diwani is the script of the official document, which is what an issuer of certificates and curricula sells.
The mark is an open book inside a green shield, topped by a letterform shaped like a pen. A shield is the form of protection and accreditation, an open book the form of teaching — together they say accredited education rather than open courses.
Green is the only colour beside the gold. In Saudi Arabia green carries an immediate national association, and using it for an educational body places it in the frame of official accreditation rather than the commercial market.
The identity is applied to the building façade as dimensional, illuminated letters — the hardest test a flowing script faces. Interlocking letters that look fine on paper can become an unreadable mass once cut in metal and lit from behind. Calibrating the stroke weights for that use is the real work in this identity.
